How about a suit featuring shorts as trousers? Starting the week by taking a look of my new summer suit by The GIGI. A suit that might not be the most classic choice and that might not be to everyone's taste but that has quickly become one of my personal summer favorites. It seems that we are finally getting summer here in Scandinavia as well and at the same time sale seasons are already knocking on the door. Mr. Porter for example already started summer sale on their American website and if everything goes as usual, Europe will follow in a couple of weeks.However, just because the weather keeps getting warm and sun starts shining more and more does not mean you shouldn't wear a jacket. It just means you should swap out your lined, all-weather, dark colored heavy wool and flannel suits and sport coats for something that's a bit more easy and lightweight. That means unlined, unstructured jackets with more casual details such as patch pockets and 3-roll-2 button closure....

On Saturday I wrote shortly about the spring and summer collection by The GIGI. Inspired by that came up with a collage featuring an outfit that would be ideal for a warm, casual summer weekend. The blue Art suit features a little diamond pattern, giving the shirt a nice texture and the Gigir shirt is picked in classic color but with the mao collar it also keeps the outfit fully casual. Slip-on sneakers are a good alternative to bring a little freshness and blue tote bag by Filson keeps the color scheme monochromatic and restrained.
